C0-Incidental

"A secret order authorized by the court that handles the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) began after Manafort became the subject of an FBI investigation that began in 2014."

The president can disclose warrant applications proving whether it’s true.

That's is correct. Put up or shut up.

There is cult of Trump’s most ardent supporters.

Trump has harnessed the emotional intensity from his base that is typical of a religious revival meeting complete with ritualized communal chants ("Lock her up!").

As the one-year anniversary of Trump's victory past, the zeal of his core followers is that of a full-fledged cult.

A "cult" is a deeply insular social group bound together by extreme devotion to a charismatic leader.

Trump’s cult formed around an individual whom they've elevated to near divine status.

The authority that a cult leader exercises comes from his self-ascribed role as the one true information source for his followers. Competing ideas and facts are just wrong; “fake news.”

Trump, of course, calls most media outlets "fake news." 60% of Trump supporters agree that the media are "the enemy" of people.

The cult leader has special knowledge. No matter how demonstrably false his pronouncements, they become, by definition, truth for his followers.

One of the ways a cult leader maintains his authority is by creating a siege mentality among his followers and presenting himself as the antidote.
In Trump's view, the country is a wasteland of empty factories "scattered like tombstones" and crime-ridden cities that are more dangerous than war zones. "Our military is a disaster. Our healthcare is a horror show."
And as Trump has often said, "I alone can fix it."

Trump confidant Roger Stone stated: Any attempt to remove the president from office, he said in August, would result in "a spasm of violence in this country, an insurrection like you've never seen."

Wait, ans see...

quell Lord Trump

“Oh! what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive!”

Robert Mueller sprung into action, arresting multiple people including Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, and revealing that he had guilty pleas for quite some time.

We all recognized the investigation as the beginning of the end of Trump, and wonder why THE shoe hasn’t dropped.

The thing is, a lot of shoes have dropped since the arrests began. They’re just not dropping in full public view.

There have been additional arrests since Paul Manafort and Rick Gates got bagged.

Despite the lack of recent bombshell headlines, the wheels are turning behind the scenes and are likely to continue for the remainder of this year.

For instance, Mueller interviewed Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller before the Asia trip began.

Miller was the previously unidentified “senior policy adviser” referenced in the George Papadopoulos court documents.

We haven't detected any fallout from the Mueller-Miller interview; it quietly took place a few weeks ago.

Trump campaign official Sam Clovis testified before a Trump-Russia grand jury weeks ago.

Clovis was Trump’s choice to keep an eye on pork bellies.

Robert Mueller was focused first on Michael Flynn.

Flynn copped a plea to save his son from 3 hots and a cot in prison.

Flynn (and/or others) could have been secretly arrested already – just as Papadopoulos was arrested in July and we didn’t learn about it until late October.

The current quiet isn’t a sign that the Trump-Russia investigation has slowed down, or that Robert Mueller is on vacation.

The investigation is intensifying, broadening, and accelerating behind the scenes. As we patiently await the next bombshell, we know that the bombshells will only get bigger from here on out.

Forget Psoriasis, it’s the heartbreak of Trump! Will Tegrin rid us of that flake Trump?

Trump-bots believe anything!

New Low.

The GOP baited a politically poisoned hook for the Democrats (intention + DACA). The Democrats, unfortunately, bit.

And in the end, one of the most clumsy, politically transparent and possibly counterproductive political compromises the GOP ever engineered carried the can down the road for just two weeks.

Democrats again face the wrath of their party’s base. This will accentuate splits within the Democratic party.

What motivated the Democrats to “cut and run” from DACA will forever remain a mystery.

In the end, the Democrats saw the hook and bit.

Differences over policy on DACA and CHIPS ignited angry words and personal insults behind the scenes yesterday when the chamber kicked the can down the road until Feb. 8th.

As Democrats pointed across the aisle to confront Republicans, they accused Republicans of playing political games with innocent children – pitting DACA against CHIPS.

The idea was to force Democrats to surrender. Despite recognizing a political trap, enough Democrats voted for the bait.

But the maneuvering exposed more raw partisan divisions on both sides of the aisle. Can't we all just get along?

Non-lockstep voters have to ask themselves this question:
What kind of political malpractice has allowed polarization in this country to reach this kind of low?

Democrats who were once outraged, in effect, apologized. But how will THAT play to the voters in the United States who don’t change their political positions on DACA and CHIPS?

Any conversation about Mitch with the word “liar” received the word “whatever…”

Remember tail-gunner Senator Joseph McCarthy (?)

Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

This is NOT victory for the Democrats. It is brinksmanship leading to the fall.

Trump Shutdown

A new poll just now released found that Americans blame President Trump and the Republicans for the federal shutdown by a 30-point margin.

The Republican-written spending measure would have kicked the can down the road by only four weeks, funding the federal government through February 16.

This federal shutdown is the first of its kind with one party, the Republicans, in control of both the White House and both houses of Congress.
