The Bully Cried - and lost 1/2 of his playmates
The 35-day partial shutdown ended after Trump capitulated to Nancy Pelosi without the border wall funds he had demanded.
The shutdown officially ended with Trump’s signature.
Trump reiterated threats that he could bypass Congress and fund construction of the wall by declaring a national emergency. WHATEVER!
And in a tweet on Friday night he said, “This was in no way a concession.” (would you believe...)
Trump refused to end the impasse until he received $5.7 billion for a border wall. Ultimately, Trump folded and agreed to reopen the government in exchange for three weeks of bipartisan negotiations.
The shutdown “never should have happened,” Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said on the Senate floor before the vote. “We cannot mess with people’s lives this way.”
Federal departments and agencies will take time to return to capacity.
Reports on gross domestic product, consumer spending, housing and trade will be released, as the Commerce Department restarts the process of collecting, analyzing and releasing the data over the next month or so.
At the Interior Department, which oversees grazing, drilling and parks on the nation’s public lands, some functions can be resumed, said spokeswoman Faith Vander Voort, though employees will spend some time working through the backlogs that accumulated during the shutdown.

FOLDED - like a cheap suit.
It comes as no surprise whatsoever that Trump - a Real Bully - folded on his shutdown.
When a BULLY is confronted by a strong girl on the playground, he often leaves in tears.
It was not a fair fight. Pelosi is smart. If IQs were dynomite, the Trumps would not have enough to blow even ONE nose!
Stone got new bracelets this morning.
And those who can read and do read know why!
The truth (or just enough of it) does, eventually come out.
Trump's announcement was deflection from a far greater problem.
We get it, donald. If the FBI drags you into court and accuses you of stealing the local church, plead not guilty -- even if the steeple is sticking out of your ass!
The bully folded. No surprise there!

The loser is losing (more).
Trump's disapproval ratings have reached record highs as the president refuses to back down from his border wall funding demands, sparking the longest government shutdown in US history.
A new CBS News poll released on Wednesday shows Trump and the GOP leadership are losing support over the president’s wall, with 71 per cent of voters saying they do not believe the issue is worth keeping the federal government closed.
Meanwhile, Trump’s disapproval rating has reached 59 per cent — one per cent higher than his previous record. It indicatee the president’s declining support is over the border wall.
Over the course of his presidency, Trump has demonstrated a single-minded focus on his base, a group that, at this moment, makes up 29 percent of the country.
Trump is responding to conservative media. In December, Trump originally changed his mind on picking a fight over the wall after hearing negative feedback from conservative commentators.
Now, his preferred FAUX Snews is consistently reporting that his fight is going well.
Pew and other pollsters say it isn’t. But it’s safe to assume that Trump spends less time considering national polls than he does watching FAUX Snews.

Civics 101
The trumpster in the dumpster just got a little fetchin' up!
There are THREE branches of our federal government.
Trump controls the chaos in the executive. The legislative is divided - Senate controlled by Republicans and House controlled by the Democrats.
The Supreme Court can overturn any law passed by Congress and signed by the president if the law is deemed UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Trump does not have the power to give his State-of-the-Union speech in the House Chambers! Top House Democrat: There Will Be No SOTU If Government Is Closed!
Trump can give a speech from anywhere, but it is NOT a State of the Union speech unless it is delivered to the US Congress!
A strong majority of Americans blame President Donald Trump for the record-long government shutdown and reject his primary rationale for a border wall, according to a new poll that shows the turmoil in Washington is dragging his approval rating to its lowest level in more than a year.
Overall, 34 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance in a survey conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. That’s down from 42 percent a month earlier and nears the lowest mark of his two-year presidency. The president’s approval among Republicans remains close to 80 percent, but his standing with independents is among its lowest points of his time in office.
But you know: "Out of many *ssh*les, one rectum!"
Now I do not know Trump, nor have I ever met any of his Russian Oligarch supporters.
But I respect the opinion of those who do know "President Trump."
And I let the pollsters weigh in - with some skepticism. (I find it difficult to believe more than 21% support this IDIOT!)
But, then again, there are those who do not read and those who can not read. So, I never really know the bottom line.
I will neither watch or listen to the trumpster in the dumpster. He insults the intelligence of well over half of all voters. And I do vote.
I believe nothing! But, on a preponderance of verifiable facts, my opinion can be swayed and changed. For example, I once thought Catholic Priests might not be a bunch of b*tt f*cks. Now, I give 60% the benefit of doubt.
As for loaded TWEETS, I do not twitter.
And hypocrisy is not limited by political affiliation.
Take "family values" as just one example.

DYSTOPIA – the Orwellian world of Donald Trump
The ‘post-truth era’ of Donald Trump is, in fact, the dystopian world of Orwell’s 1984.
It seems the republican party itself may believe Trump’s lies (to their own detrement). “Fifty-two percent of voters think less favorably of the Republican Party because of Donald Trump's presidency, a new Quinnipiac University poll reveals.“
As Orwell writes: “Science, in the old sense, had almost ceased to exist. In Newspeak there is no word for science.”
Orwell knew authoritarian regimes craved the ‘heart and soul’ of the gullible uneducated.
The shift from ‘the rational’ to ‘a mistrust in facts’ was illustrated by the “denial politics” of many US churches and other ass-backward institutions (e.g. the NRA).
Trump is not the O’Brien fellow in 1984.
Trump is Big Brother himself (with hwlp from his FAUX friends).
Trump, with his tele-screen Twitter relationship and his cult following, is in charge.
As Orwell foresaw, Trump’s slogan is “Ignorance is strength”.
Trump’s office has dispensed factless propaganda an almost daily basis (with more than a little help from Boris and Natasha).
Orwell said political language can be “designed to make lies sound truthful... and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”
Trump takes doublethink to a new low.
As the Orwellian unmasking of Trump begins, I imagine the president will bellow, “Fake Orwell”.
It’s useless to pretend that this presidency isn’t the world of 1984.
Inevitably, much of Trump’s manipulation of his followers can be traced back to Orwell’s monitoring of that which was concealed inf the second world war. It was here, he later wrote, that he first read newspaper accounts of battles that had not taken place and reports of soldiers charged with cowardice whom he knew had fought bravely.
As for what Orwell might have thought of Trump, he might well draw attention to the steady attrition in white house staffing and claims that events definitely did, or did not, happen.
Meanwhile, it is worth asking what the average person is supposed to do in a country where the leader has such obvious disregard for truth.
Big Brother, at least, was pretending what he said was true.
