DNA Craps

Either the devil or the R1a allele (or both) are in the details.

Way back when, I was told that I carry the R1a allele. Maybe yes, maybe no.

I got a couple of them DNA kits (as advertised on TV).

My mom's dad was "Irish." That part is fine.

My dad's parents were Norse, not German!

"Drill down a little," or, as we say in tech, "increase granularity" (increase the resolution), and things are complex.

Neither the Norse nor Germans are "pure" by any means,

Apparently, I have no Iberian ancestors... (again - that has no meaning).

We are all descendants of bat sh*t. Pure, unadulterated bat sh*t.
