complexion, coiffure, composure
President Trump’s delusion is “a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact.”
It is all for effect, to deflect blame and distract others from his shortcomings.
Harvard psychoanalyst Lance Dodes thinks, Trump tells two kinds of lies: the ones he tells others to scam them, and those he tells himself. “He lies because of his sociopathic tendencies," Dodes said. "There's also the kind of lying he has that is in a way more serious, that he has a loose grip on reality."
Much has been written about Trump’s narcissistic personality. A leader who is narcissistic is hardly disqualified.
Otto Kernberg, a psychoanalyst specializing in borderline personalities, defined malignant narcissism as having four components: narcissism, paranoia, antisocial personality and sadism. Trump exhibits all four. His narcissism is evident in his “grandiose sense of self-importance … without commensurate achievements.”
Trump sent out a pair of tweets on Sunday saying 1) it is “very sad” Republicans are doing “very little to protect” him — and 2) that the investigation into his campaign’s contacts with Russia is “taking hold.”
It's very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.

Anthony Scaramucci, Trump’s new communications director, said: “There’s a lot of disinformation out there...”
“Somebody said to me the other day — I don’t want to say who — if the Russians actually hacked this situation and spilled out those emails, you would have never seen it.”
Trump also announced that “all agree” that the president has “the complete power to pardon.”
But Scaramucci insisted on Sunday that the president “isn’t thinking about pardoning” anyone.”
While all agree the U. S. President has the complete power to pardon, why think of that when only crime so far is LEAKS against us. FAKE NEWS
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2017
Scaramucci, who was named communications director Friday, said he plans to meet his staff on Monday to discuss leaks: “Tomorrow, I’m going to be having a meeting with the communications staff and say, ‘Hey, I don’t like these leaks, and so we’re going to stop the leaks. And if we don’t stop the leaks, I’m gonna to stop you. It’s just really that simple.'”

instability SCHMEAR
As cascading controversies consume the White House, anxiety among Republicans well beyond the Beltway is becoming severe heading into next year’s midterm elections and beyond.
With daily unfavorable headlines — including possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia — a number of Republicans are watching as Democrats become energized in 2018, potentially tipping congressional contests and state and local races on the mid-term ballot.
“There were a lot of things that were promised, and we’re just getting a lot of noise,” said Marc Rotterman, a Republican in North Carolina. “It seems like the score is Russia 24, Trump 7.”
While the trumpster in the dumpster has issued a flurry of executive orders and delivered on the confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice — there is fear that other campaign promises will not be realized, making it much harder for Republicans to win mid-term elections.
Ever since the trumpster in the dumpster fired FBI Director James B. Comey, the White House has been in full crisis mode.
“We cannot sustain this level of chaos from the White House,” said Jennifer Horn, a former chairwoman of the New Hampshire Republican Party.
Horn said she has noticed “a significant increase in the level of anxiety about the president and his behavior” from party leaders around the country.
Some Trump boosters offer "alternative facts" on what has happened, claiming the drama in Washington is nothing more than “fake news.”
“The next election will have more to do with jobs than Russians,” said Barry Bennett, a trumpster in the dumpsterTrump political adviser during last year’s election campaign. If the economy “keeps perking along,” he said, Republicans might do just fine.
Leading up to the midterms, Republican Ron Estes "beat back" a surprisingly strong challenge from an unheralded and underfunded Democratic challenger to claim a special election victory in Kansas’ 4th district.
"Trump meltdown sets off GOP alarms over 2018 midterm"
Dozens of foreign workers sought for Trump's Florida clubs
More than 300 Carrier Corp. workers were being laid off Thursday from the company's Indianapolis factory as part of an outsourcing of jobs to Mexico.
"Fake news?" No. Another knife in the back.

the trumpster in the dumpster's white house can be described only in terms of
Trump’s personal lawyer resigns - - President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, will no longer lead the legal team responding to the ongoing Russian investigations.
This news came the day after Trump’s legal team spokesman, Mark Corallo, resigned. It isn't difficult, reading these teal leaves:
Some folks recognize good advice (but not the trumpster in the dumpster) Kasowitz has worked with Trump since the early 2000s, representing the president in the Trump University fraud case. Trump refunded $25 million as a settlement deal for students who paid for worthless Trump University real estate seminar programs. That’s 80¢ on the dollar. YUGE!
Life goes steaming along on the Trumptanic.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer abruptly resigned Friday as pressure mounted from a broadening investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.
Spicer quit after Trump named Anthony Scaramucci, a Wall Street financier, as the new White House communications director.
Trump used the occasion to lash out at the media, claiming his administration had “accomplished so much” and been “given credit for so little.”
Spicer’s resignation marked an escalation of tensions within an administration that has seen its legislative agenda falter at the same time it has been buffeted by an investigation into alleged collusion with Russia.
Neither Corallo nor Spicer have so far offered a rationale for their departures, but both step down as Trump wades into ever more perilous legal territory.
Trump aides have floated the idea of pre-emptive presidential pardons and Trump himself has warned investigators not to look into his family finances.
Scaramucci — who took the podium for the first time —dismissed reports of infighting, telling reporters: “I think the White House is on track.”
Trump plunged his White House into fresh crisis when he appeared to take special counsel Robert Mueller to task.
Mueller is examining whether Trump or his aides colluded with Russia’s apparent efforts to help tilt the 2016 presidential election in Trump’s favor.
With the investigation apparently extending to financial transactions, US media reported that Trump allies were looking for ways to discredit Mueller’s investigation.
The White House has pointedly refused to rule out the possibility that Trump would fire Mueller — an act that would prompt a political firestorm and perhaps a constitutional crisis.
Trump lost the 2016 popular vote by 2,864,974 votes according to the independent, non-partisan Cook Political Report.
Clinton's final tally: 65,844,610
Trump's final tally: 62,979,636

RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! (your highness)
President Trump said on Wednesday that he never would have appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions had he known Mr. Sessions would recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigation, calling the decision “very unfair to the president.” (Nixon speak)
Hid royal jackass (Trump) complained that Sessions’s decision led to the appointment of a special counsel that should never have happened.
Trump also accused James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director he fired, of trying to leverage a dossier of compromising RUSSIAN material to keep his job.
Trump criticized Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel now leading the investigation into Russian meddling in last year’s election. Trump said Mr. Mueller was running an office rife with conflicts of interest and warned investigators against delving into matters (his financials) far afield from Russia. Trump must have just caught "conflict of interest" from a FAUX Snews scroll, because he never mentioned of it before.
Trump never said he would order the Justice Department to fire Mr. Mueller. But he left open that possibility as he expressed deep grievances over the political toll in the first six months of his presidency.
Asked if RussiaGate would cross a red line if it looked into his finances, Mr. Trump said, “I would say yes.” “I think that’s a violation. Look, this is about Russia.”
“I don’t think we’re (the royal “we”) under investigation,” he said. “I’m not under investigation. For what? I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Describing a newly disclosed informal conversation he had with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia during a dinner of world leaders in Germany this month, Mr. Trump said they talked mostly about “pleasantries.”
And the next day it snowed.

One Less (R) Vote
I'm not a Zombie so I don't know much about brains.
Well I know about Trump's brain.
Marion Diamond knows about brains. "Diamond’s research helped prove that the brain can physically change in response to external stimulation, growing cells when exposed to enriching experiences, even in older age. And that without enrichment (e.g. FAUX Snews), the brain can shrink."
I learned about glial cells from Diamond. Glial cells are like the housekeeping service for the neurons.
Why the hintergrundinformationen?
McCain's is 'most malignant of brain tumors.' His prognosis is grim (12 to 16 months remaining in his life).
"Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common and aggressive primary brain tumor with an extremely poor prognosis in spite of multimodal treatment approaches. The estimated median survival in cases with GBM is about 12–16 months." the Glio means glial cells.
Some of us are old enough to remember McCain as a Pilot.
Cutting-Edge (pun) Treatments for Glioblastoma are on the Rise and Senator McCain will get the best money can buy!
There is no simple answer. Wait, and see.
In other news:
I already ordered a copy!
Although Bannon did not “make” Trump president in the way Karl Rove helped transport George W Bush from Austin to the White House, “Trump wouldn’t be president if it weren’t for Bannon”. Indeed, a month before Trump announced his candidacy in June 2015 and more than a year before Bannon joined the campaign, Trump was searching out Bannon at a conservative confab, the South Carolina Freedom Summit, going: “Where’s my Steve? Where’s my Steve?”
In Chapter 8, Green writes about how the GOP base had a vehemently anti-Fox News reaction to Kelly’s performance in that Cleveland debate, in which she badgered Trump with over-the-top questions.
Christie had set up a call with Obama on his cell phone in case Trump won but Trump, described as a germophobe, did not want Christie's cell phone next to his face.
A common practice in the aftermath of an American presidential election is the release of dozens of books by journalists who covered the whole thing. The deluge is already under way. Joshua Green’s Devil’s Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency, however, stands apart from the rest.
Bannon, more synthesist than strict adherent, brought to Guénon's Traditionalism a strong dose of Catholic social thought, in particular the concept of "subsidiarity": the principle expressed in Pope Pius XI's 1931 encyclical, Quadragesimo anno, that political matters should devolve to the lowest, least centralized authority that can responsibly handle them—a concept that, in a U.S. political context, mirrors small- government conservatism. Everywhere Bannon looked in the modern world, he saw signs of collapse and an encroaching globalist order stamping out the last vestiges of the traditional.
And now, one of Guenon's (Bannon) devotees has the ear of a president who doesn't know anything about anything. Deus vult!
