Praise for Trump

For Donald Trump, calling someone a loser is not merely an insult, and calling someone a winner is not merely a compliment. His world is ‘those who take’ and ‘those who are taken.’ His win is someone's loss.

This is obvious in most of Trump’s books.

Of course, trying to make sense of Trump’s books is a fool’s errand. They contradict each other frequently, and often contradict themselves — like Trump.

No one can deny: Trump praises Trump!

Trump loves Putin because in Putin's world, you can lose your LIFE.

Trump and Putin -- peanut butter and jelly.

Trump believes in the world is a fundamental zero-sum game. Life is dealmaking, and dealmaking is about crushing your enemies.

Anybody who is not on board with Trump/Putin is a loser.

"You hear lots of people say that a great deal is when both sides win," he writes in Think Big and Kick Ass, co-authored with Bill Zanker. "That is a bunch of crap. In a great deal you win — not the other side. You crush the opponent and come away with something better for yourself." To "crush the other side and take the benefits," he declares, is "better than sex — and I love sex."

Trump came up in New York real estate. In Manhattan real estate, wealth is not created by offering new products that make consumers’ lives better. There is only so much land, and strict building regulations and permitting. You make money through skirting regulations and getting the rights to build on a valuable parcel, while other people don’t.

It’s an area of business characterized by economists as "rent-seeking." A "rent," in economic terms, is income received not because you’re creating something of value but because you control something that’s scarce due to policy decisions. The classical example is literal rent. Money you receive because you own a parcel of land doesn’t come to you because you’re producing a valuable good; it comes because the current system of property rights gives you a right to charge people rent to occupy a small part of that spot.

And here is a secret: Trump is not Manhattan, Trump is Brooklyn!

As a landlord, Donald Trump has made his living through maximizing rents. He does not create wealth; he takes it from others. And he has taken it upon himself not just to make money from real estate but to tell the world that his limited experience in real estate shows he knows how the world works.

Trump lays out a vision of the world based on his own limited business world, one that mistakes the absolute worst, most dysfunctional parts of the American economy for bad rent.

Well, Donald, you CAN be too greedy -- but NOT too stupid.

So go praise yourself, mr. trumpster in the dumpster. Few others will.

Big Wins

Trump brought up the “haters & losers” in a typo-filled tweet from Singapore:

“We have our hostages, testing, research and all missle [sic] launches have stoped [sic],” he added. “And these pundits, who have called me wrong from the beginning, have nothing else they can say!” {wrong, again}

Kim completely out-negotiated Trump, and Trump doesn’t seem to realize this.

Trump has much less to show than past negotiators.

Trump sought to clarify the details of that agreement in a news conference after the summit, but in doing so, revealed details that appeared to upend decades of US policy in Asia.

The extravagant theatrics of the summit stood in stark contrast to its substantive achievements. Despite Trump’s efforts to play up the written statement he signed with Kim, it is so general and vague that the president may have been better off without it.

The joint statement notably did not feature the phrase “complete, verifiable, irreversible, denuclearization” (or “dismantlement”), which Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had previously suggested was nonnegotiable. Instead, Kim vaguely committed to “work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula”—which he had already committed to at his meeting with President Moon Jae-in of South Korea in April.

Russia is pleased.

China is having a 'big day' after Trump-Kim summit.

At least we're not on the path to nuclear war

One thing is clear: Trump has less support now than when he was elected.

Spelling Bea

it'z about the trumpster in the dumpster. it'z ALWAYS about the trumpster in the dumpster.

According to the US trade representative, however, there was an $8.4 billion US trade surplus with Canada on goods and services in 2017.

Trump is in Singapore preparing for his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Sentosa today is a popular vacation spot, with golf courses, theme parks and luxury resort hotels. It’s a far cry from the island’s previous incarnations as a fishing village and, in the 1940s, as a prisoner-of-war camp. Even the island’s name, which means “tranquility” in Malay, is a relatively new move away from its troubled past. According to Singapore’s National Library, Sentosa was historically known as Pulau Blakang Mati, until it was renamed in a public competition in 1970. Blakang Mati translates as “Behind Death” in Malay, and various theories have connected this name to legends of piracy, bloodshed and supernatural “warrior spirits” on the island and its surrounding areas.

“Great to be in Singapore, excitement in the air!” Trump wrote.

I did a bit of research and found "THE LATEST CANADIAN PRFESS RELEASES" to read over Covfefe.

...on the 132nd day, just after midnight, President Trump had at last delivered the nation to something approaching unity — in bewilderment, if nothing else.

The state of our union was … covfefe.

Who among you can say it better than me?

A Pig in the Poke

Stormy Daniels is suing President Donald Trump over a nondisclosure agreement she signed to keep her quiet about an affair she says they had. The White House has said Trump denies the alleged affair.

In April, Avenatti filed a lawsuit on Daniels’ behalf, alleging Trump attempted to tarnish her reputation and credibility by dismissing her account of a man who threatened her in 2011 when she was ready to go public about the alleged affair.

Avenatti took Giuliani to task Wednesday over comments he made about Stormy Daniels that questioned her credibility.

“The business you were in entitles you to no degree of giving your credibility any weight,” Giuliani said of Daniels.

Giuliani made the remarks Israel, where he attended a conference in Tel Aviv.

Hours later, Avenatti fired back, describing the comments as disgusting during an appearance on CNN.

“Mr. Giuliani is an absolute pig for making those comments, he’s basically stating that women that engage in the adult film industry and other forms of pornography don’t have reputations and are not entitled to respect,” he said.

“I certainly hope that we are not going to reach a place where Rudy Giuliani is going to be the [thought] police who is going to decide which women deserve respect or not. His comments are piggish, they are outrageous…”

Giuliani apparently did not know that President Trump has also appeared in three Playboy videos that feature nudity and soft core porn content.

Amateur hour (or term) at the whitehouse

No one can deny:

In terms of diplomacy, Trump is an unranked amateur supported by amateurs.

This is not draining the swamp, it is flooding the swamp.

It is obvious to even casual observers that Trump is carrying Putin's water.

the original is here

Follow the money... most trails lead to Russia (or for the son-in-law, China).

Aslo obvious: Trump is not worth 1/10th what he claims...

I watch PBS News Hour a couple of times a week...

And I just don't get it.

It seems to me Trump IS the apprentice... he OWES his master...

and Putin is his master. You know that Putin, unlike Trump, speaks fluent English!
